WHERE WILL I BE WORKING?

OMC has three (3) locations throughout Central Virginia.
Most positions will be at the corporate offices at our Orange, VA location.
We also have store locations in Madison, VA, Louisa, VA and a pump station in Charlottesville, VA.

  • This position may be primarily located at the Orange, VA facility

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

This position will be tasked with the following key objectives:

  • Continuously perform sales consultations through various channels of communication to help promote and grow the Energy department business with current and prospective customers
  • Effectively communicate with customers to understand their operations and provide solutions and recommendations to help increase their engagement and use of OMC Energy products and services
  • Develop and maintain account strategies to ensure a robust pipeline of growth
  • Utilize the Merchant Ag system to maintain accurate customer records, prospect lists, report weekly sales and more

Some positions will have the following work environment qualities.

  • This role will primarily be traveling regionally for customer and prospective customer visits

For this role, we are looking for talent that can bring to the table the following.

  • A high school diploma/GED equivalent
  • A valid Driver s License
  • At least 2
    years of sales experience, preferably within the Energy market or cooperative industry
  • Certifications/Licenses required; willing to train throughout career to obtain, if not already completed
  • Dedication to safety and compliance
  • A passion and enthusiasm to work with our cooperative customers to help improve and overcome any challenges related to their needs
  • A desire to learn, grow and work as a cross-functional team member with other divisions within OMC

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
